Oh. My. God. Now I don't know about you guys. But I've recently come across these three trends that absolutely NEED to make their way to my closet. No matter what.
1) THE GRAPHIC PRINT
This trend has become rampant. Probably made famous by Ricardo Tisci for the recent Givenchy men's collection. The trend usually features iridescent, 3D-esque, kaleidoscopic prints of plants, animals and even people.
2) MINIMALISM
Appointing Nicola Formichetti as the Creative Director of Mugler was one of the best moves in the history of fashion. It's sad though, that he's leaving the house. However, it was good while it lasted. What I really liked is that he used bright colours like Vitamin Orange and Lime Green against colours like black. It was really minimalist, yet drew in a lot of attention with the brightly coloured pockets.
3) INVERTED TRIANGLES
Yet again, another trend made famous by by Nichola Formichetti for the 2013 Mugler Men's collection. This trend features inverted triangles of various colours printed onto either the front or back of the T-shirt. Inverted triangles were originally used in Nazi concentration camps to identify different types of prisoners. The triangles would be stitched onto the prisoners clothing. Much like the scarlet letter.
With that, I'll leave you with these pictures to drool over.
