TREND ALERT: PLASTIC IS FANTASTIC

Animal rights activists and environmentalists have always found fashion as an abomination. But, you can't really blame them for this since the use of real fur in coats has become a major problem.

However, fashion has yet again spawned another brilliant idea. This time one that'll actually do good for the environment. Okay, so all you hear these days is how you should take your own paper/cloth bag to the grocery store and not use plastic bags. But since most people don't REALLY care about the environment, they just end up using plastic bags, but then after a week's worth of grocery shopping, you end up with a pile of plastic bags. And then you think to yourself, 'What the hell am I gonna do with all this plastic?'

The answer is really simple. You obviously turn them into clothes silly! That's right, plastic has become a major trend this year, and might possibly be big next year too.

Designers are turning plastic into every single type of clothing imaginable; skirts, trenches, boots, handbags, coats and totes. You name it, and they have it.

Not only does this solve the plastic usage epidemic, but it keeps you looking ultra futuristic and chic as well.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Hey everyone! How did your Halloween go? What did you dress up as? Well, whatever you answer may be, I hope you had fun. If you wanna dress up as something that isn't a little bit cliche' like a Vampire or Werewolf, I recommend you take a look at Michelle Phan's makeup tutorials. Now, if you don't know who she is (which I presume to be highly unlikely) I suggest you Google her because her work is Amazing.

Well, enough talk, here, watch the video.

Happy Halloween!

MARTIN MARGIELA + H&M (LOONG OVERDUE POST)

Unlike in my previous posts, I'm not gonna bring up some excuse to explain why I'm posting so late, so I'll just get to the point. Now as you all may know, Martin Margiela was all set to collaborate with H&M. But then the days went by and the days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months. I had given hope by mid August when suddenly, a few days ago, when I was browsing through a few blogs, I cam across a post with the title 'MARTIN MARGIELA FOR H&M LINE FINALLY OUT.'

My boring and dreadful day had suddenly turned into sunshine and rainbows. Okay, maybe that didn't happen, but hot damn girl, I was excited! As for the clothes, It was pure Margiela. Nothing more. Nothing less. However, since it was for H&M they did stick to the idea of the clothes being wearable, but it still had that element of uniqueness, which is what makes Margiela clothes stand out from the rest. And also, instead of describing each piece of clothing from the line like most fashion bloggers do, I'll just post the pictures and let you decide for yourself what kind of aura it gives off.
