MOSCHINO FALL/WINTER 2013

I was absolutely thrilled when I heard that Jeremy Scott was named the new Creative Director of Italian fashion brand Moschino. It seemed like a match made in heaven since both Jeremy and the brand are always so playful and fun when it comes to the designs.

And what a debut runway show by Jeremy it was. Fast fashion for the masses. The McDonalds reference was pure genius and I especially liked the dresses with the nutritional facts and how it transitioned into Spongebob themed clothes. Typical couture meets generic American pop culture show by the teddy bear shoe-ifying designer. Maybe I wouldn't mind having most of my meals at McDonalds anymore.

GIVENCHY MEN'S FALL/WINTER 2014

Mr. Ricardo Tisci envisioned a man who is a ruthless business tycoon but during his free time enjoys playing basketball in downtown New York while jamming to Kanye West. Couture meets sportswear is what the show was all about; something that seems to be quintessentially Tisci. Mixing sportswear into couture is something that a lot of designers and brands have been doing lately, but in my opinion it seems to be Tisci's trademark because he does it so effortlessly and with such ease.

The clothes were very sharp yet flowed with a lot of ease. The netting over the face was just perfect and is something I'd like A$AP Rocky or Kanye to pull off. The tailored pants paired with the sneakers gave it that couture meets sportswear look I was talking about and the graphic prints on the blazers laced with lashes of vitamin orange made it look that much more appealing.
