NICOLA FORMICHETTI X DIESEL

It's official! Nicola Formichetti (former Creative Director of Mugler, Lady Gaga's stylist and fashion extraordinaire) has been named the new Artistic Director of Diesel Jeans. Nicola who also happens to be the Creative Director for Uniqlo and helped create Lady Gaga's meat dress, had this to say about the brand:

"I didn't have the money to buy in those days, but their stores were the place to be,They did great parties and shows and spoke to an audience that was into music and art. They did ads with guys kissing. It was very antifashion and very appealing to me."

As for Mugler, they had thanked Nicola for his great vision and the large amount of attention he had garnered the company within the two years he spent there.

I don't know about you guys, but I'll definitely  be shopping at Diesel whenever I can from now on.

OOTD: GIVENCHY RIPOFF

Just wanted to do a an outfit of the day post before heading out for dinner. I got this Givenchy ripoff on eBay, which I've mentioned in my previous post.

I absolutely LOVE what Ricardo Tisci is currently doing with the Givenchy men's line. The graphic prints really give it that edgy, underground street style look that I absolutely adore.

And I've had my eye on this particular print for a VERY long time.

P.S. - My grandma wasn't really happy about the topless mermaids on my tee. HAHA.
Also, sorry for the poor quality of the picture.

ADVENTURES ON EBAY: PART 1

The title sounds promising doesn't it? Hah. Well I assure you, so do these 'adventures.'

Where do I even begin with this post. I know, go back to 2008; when I was in the seventh grade. Fashion and style had been a major influence and part of my lifestyle even back then, but growing up in the Maldives, guys had to wear REALLY UGLY clothes (in my opinion at least) I mean, I am not kidding when I say that the clothes looked like Abercrombie & Fitch - times ten. So imagine my disappointment when I was forced to wear nothing but these ugly T-shirts originally designed for jocks hooked on steroids.

Flash forward to 2013 - I recently found out that my uncle orders stuff from eBay all the time. This was GREAT news. I could finally order awesome clothes online. So that's exactly what I did. After some THOROUGH searching, I came across some really cool items and ordered them straight away. Earning my own salary was so fulfilling now that I could order clothes online.

Now you might ask; 'How come you didn't order stuff from eBay before?' Well, let's just say, I've had some bad experiences with online shopping (eBay in particular) in the past.

ANYWAY, I come back home form work today and find them on my bed!! All neatly packed in see through plastic packets.  I open them up in a frenzy and find the most beautiful clothes ever. And I'm still not over the excitement.

All in all, my wardrobe has finally started to see some really cool clothes since 2011, and my eBay finds just add to the growing collection.

Here's what I got.
