INSPIRATIONS

To be honest, inspiring me doesn't take much. You just require creativity and talent. Maybe that's why I've always found fashion so enthralling. It NEVER stays the same. It keeps being constantly recreated and changed. Much like a chameleon. That's why, even when it comes to fashion, I only like things which are avant-garde. Or at least have some sort of oddness to them. I'm not a huge fan of designers like Ralph Lauren or Michael Kors. I mean, their clothes do have certain elements which make them attractive. But if I were to choose, I'd much rather go with someone like Jean-Paul Gaultier or Alexander McQueen. As much as I like Haute Couture, street style makes up most of what I am. Just the look of a studded leather jacket, paired with ripped denim makes me go crazy! I do like a lot if underground designers as well. They seem to understand the problems that are being faced by today's youth. If I had to choose, I would say my biggest inspirations when it comes to fashion, creativity and my overall lifestyle are: 1. Lady gaga, 2. Susie Lau, 3. Anna Dello Russo, 4. Rei Kawakubo, and finally, Yohji Yamamoto.  And I do get a LOT of my inspiration from Japan, it's people and it's culture. But I'll talk about that in another post. So bye for now
